The TM-12 features a solid Sitka spruce top, which is known for its bright and clear tone. The back and sides are made of laminated mahogany, which adds warmth and depth to the sound. The guitar has a dreadnought body shape, which is the most popular acoustic guitar shape and provides a full and balanced sound.

One of the standout features of the TM-12 is its Fishman Isys+ electronics system. This system includes a built-in tuner and EQ controls, as well as a phase switch for reducing feedback during live performances. Jeffrey Cherry –
As someone who has been playing guitar for a few years now, I recently purchased the SIGMA TM-12 acoustic guitar. Unfortunately, I must say that my experience with this instrument has been less than satisfactory, hence the 2-star rating.
Firstly, the steel string type of this guitar is extremely tough on the fingers. I found it much more difficult to play than other guitars I’ve owned in the past. It could be due to my lack of experience with steel strings, but it was disappointing to not be able to play as comfortably as I had hoped.
Secondly, the SIGMA TM-12 is designed for right-handed players only. As a left-handed person, I had to adjust and learn to play it upside down which was not ideal. It led to a lot of mistakes and caused me to lose confidence in my abilities.
In comparison to other acoustic guitars in the market, there are definitely better options out there. I’ve played guitars that had a much smoother fingerboard and felt more comfortable to play. Although the SIGMA TM-12 does have a decent sound, it’s not exceptional enough to make up for the discomfort I experienced while playing.
Overall, I would only recommend the SIGMA TM-12 to right-handed musicians who are already experienced with steel string guitars. Otherwise, it’s probably best to look for other options.
