Description
The Blackstar Debut 50R is a 50 watt solid state analog combo built around a single 12 inch custom designed speaker. That pairing gives you the punch and body needed for rehearsals, small gigs and recording, and the power switch drops the amp down to 5 watts so you can push it hard at home without disturbing the neighbours. The clean channel stays open and articulate, giving pedals a clean platform to work from.
Two channels, clean and overdrive, cover everything from pristine to saturated, and the patented ISF control lets you steer the voicing between a British, mid forward character and a tighter American style response. Instead of guessing at EQ, you turn one knob and the whole amp shifts. Plate and Hall reverb are onboard, so ambience comes without extra pedals, and the series effects loop lets you place delay, chorus and modulation after the preamp where they stay cleanest.
Connectivity covers real playing situations: a 1/4 inch input, a 1/8 inch line/aux in for playing along to backing tracks, a 1/4 inch footswitch input for hands free channel and reverb switching, and a 1/8 inch line/headphone out with speaker emulation for silent practice and direct recording. At 9 kg it lifts easily in one hand and fits small stages and bedroom corners alike.
It suits players who want a simple, dependable analog amp with genuine reverb and a loop for a modest pedalboard. Compared with modelling combos in its class, you give up menus and preset libraries, but you gain an immediate, analog response that rewards playing rather than scrolling.
