1 review for Epiphone ES-339 Pro

  1. Wuntiful

Hopeless guitar. The execution is tragic and the price is very high. We mainly pay for the company logo itself. The movable bridge is of very poor quality. While wajchowania the guitar immediately detuns. The pickups are coupled on the amplifier. The quality of the sound cries out to heaven for vengeance. It doesn’t matter if we want to play punk, rock or metal – each time the sounds are very artificial and flat. For this price, we will buy a much better guitar from another company, but better made. Dry guitar doesn’t sound at all – like it has a hole in the box. I advise against buying such equipment, even for beginners.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can you explain the differences between Epihone ES-339 Pro and other Epiphone electric guitars, specifically in terms of tonewoods, pickups, and hardware?

Sure, I'd be happy to help!
The Epiphone ES-339 Pro is a semi-hollowbody electric guitar that was introduced by Gibson's budget brand Epiphone in 2017. It's designed to emulate the tone and feel of Gibson's ES-335, which is one of their most iconic guitars. Here are some key differences between the Epiphone ES-339 Pro and other Epiphone electric guitars:
1. Tonewoods: The ES-339 Pro features a solid maple center block with laminated maple top, back, and sides. This gives it a unique tone that's warmer than a fully hollowbody guitar but still has some of the resonance you'd expect from one. Other Epiphone guitars like the Les Paul and SG models typically use mahogany or alder as their primary tonewood, which produces a different sound. Pickups: The ES-339 Pro comes equipped with Alnico Classic humbuckers that are designed to deliver classic Gibson tone. These pickups have a warm, rich sound with plenty of output for both clean and distorted playing. Other Epiphone guitars may use different types of pickups, such as P-90s or Ceramic magnets, which can give them a brighter or more aggressive sound. Hardware: The ES-339 Pro features premium hardware including Grover tuners and an ABR-1 bridge. This gives it a smooth, stable playing experience that's similar to the high-end Gibson ES-335. Other Epiphone guitars may use different types of bridges and tuners, which can affect their intonation and playability. Overall, the ES-339 Pro offers a unique blend of vintage style and modern playability that sets it apart from other Epiphone electric guitars.

What is the difference between Epihone ES-339 Pro and its non-pro version?

The main differences between the Epiphone ES-339 PRO and its non-PRO version are in the hardware components, finish, and price. Epiphone ES-339 PRO features:
1. Gibson USA PAF 460R/460T humbuckers with ceramic magnets (non-PRO has Alnico Classic Humbuckers)
2. LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for better sustain and tuning stability (non-PRO has a standard tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece)
3. Aged white button Grover Rotomatic tuners for improved tuning stability and vintage aesthetic (non-PRO has standard die-cast tuners)
4. Vintage Sunburst finish with a nitrocellulose lacquer (non-PRO comes in Heritage Cherry, Ebony, and Vintage Sunburst finishes with polyurethane or satin polyurethane finish)
5. Higher price compared to the non-pro version

The Epiphone ES-339 PRO is aimed at players who require a higher level of performance and sound quality, while the non-PRO version is more affordable and suitable for beginners or those looking for a versatile, budget-friendly guitar with a classic semi-hollowbody design.
