Sequential Prophet-6

Description

Sequential Prophet-6 is a six-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer built for players who want classic subtractive sound with modern flexibility. Its 49 semi-weighted full-size keys respond to velocity and channel aftertouch, so every note can feel dynamic and expressive. This makes it a strong fit for keyboardists, producers, and live performers who need an instrument that rewards playing feel as much as sound design.

Each voice gives you two discrete VCOs plus a sub-oscillator, creating a foundation for deep basses, cutting leads, and lush pads. The per-voice filter section combines a 4-pole resonant low-pass filter with a 2-pole resonant high-pass filter, letting you move from warm and rounded to bright and biting with precise control. Because the architecture is analog and subtractive, shaping tone feels immediate and musical.

A polyphonic step sequencer handles up to 64 steps with rests, and the built-in arpeggiator adds motion to your ideas. Connectivity covers MIDI In, Out, and Thru, USB MIDI, left and right main audio outputs, a headphone output, and foot pedal plus CV inputs. That set of connections helps the Prophet-6 sit naturally in a studio, on stage, or alongside modular gear.

For players comparing six-voice analog polysynths, the Prophet-6 focuses on a classic subtractive workflow and broad performance control. Some alternatives in its class may emphasize different filter character or extra sequencing options, but this instrument delivers the core analog experience with six voices and hands on shaping. It suits anyone who wants a polyphonic analog synth that can handle chords, sequences, and expressive solo lines.
