Description

Fender is a brand that has been synonymous with quality in the world of musical instruments, and it has produced numerous iconic models over the years. One such model is the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster electric guitar, which was released in 2020 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the brand’s first solid-body electric guitar. In this article, we will take a closer look at this guitar and what it has to offer.

The Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is a modern-day version of the original Fender Telecaster, which was introduced in 1950. The Telecaster was the first commercially successful solid-body electric guitar and has since become an icon in its own right. The Broadcaster was the name of the guitar before it was changed to Telecaster, due to a trademark dispute. The 70th Anniversary Broadcaster features many of the same characteristics as the original, but with a few modern updates to meet the needs of today’s guitarists.

The body of the guitar is made from ash and is finished in a classic Butterscotch Blonde color. The maple neck has a vintage-style U shape, and the fingerboard is made from maple and features black dot inlays. The guitar also features vintage-style hardware, including a three-saddle string-through-body bridge and a set of single-coil pickups. The pickups are designed to recreate the classic Telecaster sound, but with a bit more of a modern edge.

The Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is a delight to play. The neck is comfortable and plays fast, and the guitar’s lightweight body makes it easy to wear for extended periods. The single-coil pickups produce a classic Telecaster tone that will please both vintage enthusiasts and modern guitar players.

Overall, the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster electric guitar is a fitting tribute to one of the most iconic guitars ever made. It combines vintage style with modern updates to create a guitar that is both versatile and unique. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, this guitar is sure to impress.

1 review for Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster

  1. Fidi

This is my first electric guitar. Before buying it, I also played a few others in music stores. However, only this one convinced me, mainly with a very comfortable, fast neck, nice sound, styling, workmanship and a creamy-white color. A very comfortable guitar, for a total of little money, but it can sound like a real Fender. The outfit holds up, everything works, despite Made in China. However, the quality control and the Fender signature obliges I have it, I use it and it’s fun, I recommend it to beginners, I am a drummer but I like to hum on the guitar, I recommend to young guitarists who are just starting their adventure with the guitar, if I had to buy 100% I would buy this one .. You can of course, buy a cheaper drug ,,, but it’s up to you how you stand with the money

How does the hand-rubbed oil finish on the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster contribute to its exceptional playability and tonal character?

The hand-rubbed oil finish applied to the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster guitar not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also significantly contributes to its exceptional playability and tonal character. Unlike modern finishes that are sprayed on, this finish is meticulously rubbed onto the body of the guitar by hand, resulting in a smooth and silky texture that feels like butter in one's hands. This tactile quality not only makes playing the Broadcaster a pleasurable experience but also helps the player connect with the instrument on a deeper level, allowing them to express themselves more freely and authentically. Moreover, the hand-rubbed oil finish allows the wood grain of the body and neck to shine through, giving each guitar its unique character and tonal profile. The natural resonance of the ash and maple woods used in the Broadcaster's construction is preserved, resulting in a rich and complex acoustic sound that is both balanced and articulate. The oil finish also provides a barrier against moisture and other environmental factors, protecting the wood from damage and ensuring consistent performance over time. In summary, the hand-rubbed oil finish on the Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster guitar not only makes it a pleasure to play but also enhances its tonal character and preserves its unique identity as an exceptional instrument.
