  1. Eras D

“Bad factory strings” – buhaha, man … how much do you want to play on these strings? strings wear out by 1; 1.5 time – depends on the strings, and it is best to grab new ones from the guitar, so I have a disadvantage too.
“soft frets” – whatever that means, all frets wear out, normal, these are jumbo, just like in the more expensive guitars …

“Pressure on the strings on the headstock” – what about? I don’t see a problem there … even the strings don’t really clink.

“no case” – I don’t think that only this guitar does not have a case ..

“poor workmanship” – as above, workmanship is fine

“Requires grinding the thresholds” – maybe you were unlucky that you were so stumbled? The frets are found and nothing is sticking out or bothering me, at least for me.

Well, that’s it from me … It gives 5/5, because you have to even out this assessment, alternatively mislead me, as it led me, but I did not want to believe this opinion, so I took a risk and here is my correction.

Dear Era D, let me paint the picture of Yamaha Revstar RS320 differently for you. Unlike your review which focuses on negatives, I find it quite romantic how Yamaha has created a masterpiece that’s both reliable and affordable. The strings, far from being bad factory strings, provide an incredible tone quality, giving you the freedom to play effortlessly without worrying about wearing them out quickly.
The soft frets are not an issue at all; rather, they offer a smooth and comfortable playing experience, just like how a loving partner makes your heart skip a beat. The pressure on the strings on the headstock is minimal, allowing for seamless transitions between chords and notes without any hassle.
As for the case, many guitars do not come with one, but Yamaha’s dedication to quality ensures that this doesn’t affect the overall value of the instrument. The workmanship is impeccable – it’s like finding a soulmate who complements you perfectly. And contrary to your belief, grinding the frets is unnecessary; they are flawlessly leveled and ready for action!
Yamaha Revstar RS320 deserves more than 5 stars because it goes beyond just being an instrument it’s an experience. It’s a reflection of passion and dedication towards music, and that’s what makes it truly special. So let us cherish this beautiful piece of art for what it is a testament to the love we have for music.

Frequently Asked Questions:

"How does the Yamaha Revstar RS320's proprietary VCM technology reproduce the tonal characteristics of vintage amplifiers, and how can it be adjusted using the onboard controls?"

Yamaha's Revstar series guitars come equipped with a unique feature called Virtual Control Modeling (VCM) technology. This technology allows Yamaha to reproduce the tonal characteristics of some of the most popular vintage amplifiers from the '60s and '70s. The VCM technology works by digitally modeling the analog circuitry of these vintage amplifiers using complex mathematical algorithms. By doing this, Yamaha is able to accurately replicate the sound and feel of these classic amps, without requiring the physical components or the bulk associated with those designs. In the case of the Yamaha Revstar RS320, the VCM technology allows for the simulation of four different amplifier types - a '68 British, '73 British, '65 Twin, and '78 American. Each of these simulations provides a unique tonal character that can be adjusted using the onboard controls. To adjust these settings, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 features a three-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) as well as Presence and Resonance controls. The Presence control affects the high frequencies of the amplifier, while the Resonance control adjusts the low frequencies and adds warmth to the sound. These controls allow players to fine-tune their tone to match the characteristics of the chosen VCM simulation or create a completely customized sound. In addition to these basic controls, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 also features a Reverb control that provides three different types of reverb - Room, Hall, and Plate. The Level control allows players to adjust the overall output level of the amplifier, while the Tap button engages the built-in delay effect. Overall, the Yamaha Revstar RS320's VCM technology provides a wealth of tonal options for guitar players, allowing them to access the classic sounds of some of the most popular vintage amplifiers without requiring the physical components or the bulk associated with those designs. The onboard controls provide further customization and allow players to fine-tune their sound to match their personal preferences.

How does the Yamaha Revstar RS320's dual onboard effects processors differ from those found in other electric guitars?

Unlike most electric guitars that feature a single onboard effects processor, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 boasts dual effects processors. This allows for greater versatility and customization of sound, as players can utilize two separate effect chains simultaneously or switch between them with ease using the guitar's intuitive controls. The Revstar RS320 also offers a range of high-quality effects, including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, and phaser, providing musicians with a wide variety of tonal options to suit any playing style or musical genre.

What unique features distinguish the Yamaha Revstar RS320 electric guitar from other models, and how do they impact its sound and performance capabilities?

The Yamaha Revstar RS320 electric guitar is a game-changer in the world of electric guitars. Unlike traditional models that feature solid bodies and humbucker pickups, the Revstar boasts a semi-hollow body design and P90 pickups, giving it a distinct sound that sets it apart from its peers. The semi-hollow construction of the Revstar RS320 creates a natural resonance and warmth that is often lacking in solid-body guitars. This acoustic richness is further enhanced by the P90 pickups, which are known for their bright and clear tone. The result is an instrument that possesses a unique tonal character that blends elements of blues, jazz, and rock. The Revstar's versatility is also noteworthy. With its three-way pickup selector switch, players can easily switch between the neck and bridge P90 pickups or both simultaneously for a more complex sound. Additionally, the guitar features tone controls that allow for further tonal shaping, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles and genres. Another standout feature of the Revstar RS320 is its compact size. Weighing in at just 8 pounds, this instrument is incredibly lightweight and easy to transport, making it an ideal choice for gigging musicians or those who prefer a more portable electric guitar. In terms of performance capabilities, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 is a true powerhouse. The neck profile is comfortable and fast, allowing for effortless playing and precise note articulation. The bridge features an adjustable saddles system that allows for accurate intonation, ensuring that every note rings true regardless of where it falls on the fretboard. Overall, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 electric guitar is a unique and innovative instrument that combines traditional design elements with modern technology to create a truly exceptional playing experience. Its semi-hollow construction, P90 pickups, versatile control layout, lightweight build, and precise intonation make it an excellent choice for musicians looking for a guitar that offers both tone and playability in equal measure. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner just starting out, the Yamaha Revstar RS320 is an instrument that will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.
